To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Stichting de Noordzee we introduced the ‘Noordzeebanket’. A sweet treat with a serious message.
The Noordzeebanket is a play on the renowned marbled chocolate seashells. This version was a wake-up call that showed a less-tasteful side of The North Sea. All the beautiful shells and seahorses were replaced by crushed plastic bottles, broken seashells, and polluting container ships. Showing that Holland's largest nature reserve is under pressure.

The North Sea Foundation is largely dependent on financial contributors. This initiative brought the foundation the much needed (and deserved) attention, leading to a spike in donations of 60% more than the foregoing period.

With only €5K to spend on media, we were forced to deliver an idea that would earn it’s attention. The Noordzeebanket did exactly that, leading to €96K PR value and a total reach of 2.7 million.
