Turning Etos' job benefits into physical products

A job at Etos comes with a bunch of benefits. To communicate those internally and to attract new Etos Employees we translated them into a special range of physical products.

Etos, one of Holland's leading drugstore chains, cares about the wellbeing of every person in the Netherlands. But prior to looking after all of them, they need to take care of their own employees first. Through several job benefits they stimulate personal growth and help create a working environment in which everyone feels welcome and safe to be themselves. We turned all these job benefits into an actual product range of self-care products. Making them tangible, spreadable and even sprayable.

The new range of products like “Carièretijgerbalsem” and “Je ware gezicht lotion” symbolizes Etos’ job benefits. We played with the wording and value/product combination in a way that the description fits the product and at the same time describes the effect of a job at Etos on the “user”.

This campaign came to life through various online and offline channels. From instore displays where the job benefits could be ‘tested’ to print, posters and leaflets with further information about the benefits of working at Etos. And from Insta and TikTok content to sampling on events such as the ‘Nationale Carrièrebeurs’.

Why would I spend my precious time and money on it?

We always put people at the centre everything we create and ask ourselves the question: is what we’re creating truly adding value and relevant to them? Would they care to spend their time and money on it?

Is it worth talking about and would I share it with peers?

Whatever we create should be unique, ownable and distinctive. It should be worth talking about and spark conversations or provoke reactions.
It should be worth sharing as ideas people share with peers, need less paid media to become a success.

Is it a star worthy experience?

We always strive to create 5-star experiences (in the broadest sense of the word). Attractive, appealing, relevant, touching and accessible. A positive-review-magnet if you like. Executed to perfection in every touch point and in all media channels.

Why would people love it?

We build brands people love. Make stuff with impact; stuff that touches them. We find what makes them tick and give them what they love. Things they want and need or didn’t yet know they wanted or needed.
